Markers in Logic Pro
Once mastered, markers are a powerful addition to any workflow. Not only are they helpful to visibly location a position, but learning the right key commands will allow you to jump quickly between parts of a project.
Creating Markers in Logic Pro
OPT+"will create a marker from the Playhead position to the end of the project- Use
Gto open Global Tracks. Right click the marker track, and select Create Marker. - Drag the cycle marker down to the ruler to create a marker of that length
Using Markers as a navigation aid in Logic Pro
OPT+/opens the Go To Marker dialog. This is where using the##in the marker titles can be useful.OPT+,- go to the previous markerOPT+.- go to the next maker
Other tips with Markers
- Using two
##anywhere in the marker title will include the marker position (e.g. first, second, third…) - To color them, select one or more markers, and use
OPT+Cto select a color.
